St. John's Church Vestry Comittee Structure
Committee members consist of many industrious members of our
congregation. Membership on St. John's Vestry committees is open for anyone who would like to join.
Buildings and Grounds Committee
The Junior Warden is charged with the overall maintenance of the physical plant of St. John's Church, i.e., the Sanctuary, Parish House, and the Rectory including the grounds of both facilities. The Building and Grounds Committee assists the Jr. Warden in planning and carrying out maintenance, repairs, upgrades, etc. that may be necessary with the approval of the Vestry. The Vestry liaison and Chair of the Committee is the Jr. Warden, Don Paulson.
Education Committee
Currently inactive but suggestions for Adult Forums are always welcome.

Inreach Committee
The goal of INREACH is to take care of the supplies for daily necessities and needs for special events within our congregation. INREACH maintains supplies for the kitchen, office and bathrooms. INREACH coordinates our social gatherings from pot luck dinners to our weekly hospitality hour. Other concerns of INREACH are: new member recruitment, Church office hours, pastoral care and communication needs. Meetings are organized as needed. The Vestry liaison and committee chair for INREACH is Doug Richards.
Outreach Committee
The Outreach Program at St. John's Episcopal Church of Ouray, Colorado, is designed to extend assistance and / or services to the local community, while being aware of and participating in selective national and international needs. The Outreach Program's objectives and goals are to establish and implement activities and services of charity for those who might not ordinarily have access to those services, especially the poor, marginalized, and less advantaged. Outreach offers St. John's the opportunity to express its vision and carry out its mission to community members who may not encompass St. John's usual audience. Through Outreach, St. John's endeavors to create, through education, participation and attendance, awareness and interest in its spiritual practices while it is providing necessary assistance to our neighbors in need. The Vestry liaison members are Tom Kellyand Bob Larson.
Worship Committee
The Worship Committee is headed by the Rector and consists of: The Rev.
Bob Larson--Deacon, Carole Byrom--Vestry liason, Dee James as Coordinator
of Music, Kathy McLallen--Director of the Altar Guild, and Tom
Kelly--Coordinator of Ushers. The congregation is encouraged to offer any
thoughts regarding worship to the Rector.
